Want to learn a little bit more about the writer? You’ve come to the… well… the right place!
Joshua was born in the Parkersburg, WV area in the early 1980’s. He graduated as an alum of West Virginia University of Parkersburg with a degree in Business Administration. Over the years, Joshua has worked for a variety of organizations in varied roles, including the West Virginia Jaycees, Sears, and various online publications.
Since graduating college in 2008, Joshua has put his energies towards building fantastical worlds and terrible civilizations to life in the Saga of the Dead Men Walking. A lifelong fantasy fan, he credits his chief inspirations as the works of Dante, Edward Lee, George R. R. Martin, and Bethesda Game Studios. Writing is more than just what he loves to do; the industry and the business of writing is just as fascinating (and sometimes easier) than putting words on paper.
But there’s more…
Around 2010, Joshua was introduced to the exciting world of cosplay. A huge (admittedly ‘too’ huge) of a fan of Ghostbusters, he discovered a passion for providing entertainment services to children and adults across West Virginia. After working with several cosplay groups between 2010-2017, Joshua founded Cre8tive Cosplay of the Mid-Ohio Valley, Inc, a cosplay-based charity organization focused on supplying food to pantries in and around Wood County, WV.
Over the years, Joshua has helped provide nearly $30,000 worth of food items to community service organizations in his home town and the immediate areas around. He routinely participates in conventions, festivals, parades, and so much more. In 2024, C8C was presented with their 7th “most food donated” award at the annual Parkersburg, WV Winterfest/Christmas Parade event.

All in all, Josh is a simple man with a complicated life. At the end of the day, his goal is simple:
For him, he has a simple truth:
He can’t fix the world, but he can try to make people smile. And that alone might be enough to make it a better place.
